I also really liked the Records mode submod, which adds more roles to the generals like giving strategists ranged attacks. Morale is also very important, as units, especially lower tier ones can shatter more easily if overwhelmed. Units tire more easily, ranged units are I think buffed, and heroes are much weaker. In terms of combat, I feel like it's more 'tactical' and fast-paced. It feels like very toned down Warhammer 2's SFO for TK. The mod actually changed many parts of the game overhauled the unit recruitment to be more structured (which I absolutely liked), adding a building slot in minor settlements, adding new resources and mechanics, and perhaps many more. Someone has described it as a massive unit pack but I disagree. TROM is the first mod I've played since it was recommended to me the most after asking around here. Feel free to agree/disagree or give your own opinions. However, for TK I have a bit of a hard time choosing between The Rule of Might and Radious, since both mods, though are very different from each other have some aspects that I like from each mod. Medieval 2 with Stainless Steel, Empire with Imperial Splendour, Warhammer 2 with SFO, and so on. I've been playing TW for a long time, and with every TW game I've played, I always have the 'definitive' mod that I will be using for the rest of my gameplay. These are also based on what I experienced and noticed so forgive me if I made any mistakes or errors in judgment. Your best bet is to get the game in a decent framerate, that doesn’t hinder your experience. So I just rather recently (about last month or so) get into TWTK, and after playing the game for quite some time I just want to shortly share my thoughts on the mods I've played in case maybe anyone is wondering about the mods and want to pick between one of them before playing.
